Call for Applications for the 2026 #Youth4Soil Mentorship Programme
On 17 February 2026, the Coalition of Action 4 Soil Health (CA4SH) launched the call for applications for the 2026 #Youth4Soil Mentorship Programme in an online info session.
The initiative was launched in 2024 and received more than 200 applications, most of which were from mentees, and was initially structured as an open-ended and openly structured programme. In the spirit of continual learning, the CA4SH Secretariat has reviewed the strategy and is now re-launching the programme with additional structure, and under a shortened timeframe to increase engagement. The initiative will now be operated on an annual basis, culminating in a learning webinar and awarding of certificates of completion for successful participants. We also want to develop a cohort of alumni who we can engage in additional collaboration opportunities in the long-term.
The timeline for the 2026 programme is:
17 February: Open the call for applications and host the online information session
3 March 2026: CA4SH Secretariat will begin reviewing applications and facilitating matches
1 April - 30 September 2026: Groups must meet at least six times and fill in an info packet with the dates of their meetings and their three key takeaways
October 2026: Reflection webinar and awarding of certificates
