CA4SH Soil Action Hubs

What are the CA4SH Soil Action Hubs?

The CA4SH Soil Action Hubs are bottom-up, dynamic, decentralized structures designed to accelerate locally-led implementation of soil health solutions while strengthening coordination and cross-regional peer learning.

Launched by the Coalition of Action 4 Soil Health (CA4SH), these Hubs are a response to the urgent need for coordinated, inclusive, and evidence-based action to improve soil health globally.

The Role of the Soil Action Hubs

The CA4SH Soil Action Hubs serve as engines of local action, tailored to local contexts yet connected globally. They aim to complement, not duplicate, existing efforts, strengthening coordination and alignment where gaps remain.

Their core functions include:

Fostering inclusive,
multi-stakeholder collaboration

Engaging diverse stakeholders including farmers, youth, Indigenous Peoples, scientists, policymakers, investors, and the private sector.

Advancing knowledge and data exchange

Promoting the use of practical, science-based tools to support decision-making.

Promoting cross-regional peer learning

Enabling shared innovation and lessons across different landscapes and contexts.

Strengthening local capacity

Supporting training, education, and institutional development.

Aligning monitoring systems

Supporting integrated and regionally relevant monitoring and evaluation frameworks.

Mobilizing investment and policy action

Unlocking finance and aligning soil health with national and global development goals.

Geographic Presence

The Hubs are being established in key geographies, in collaboration with local and regional institutions who understand the local context and priorities. While grounded in local leadership, the Hubs are part of a global community for shared learning and collective impact.
