The BAIF Journal - Clean Energy for a Sustainable Future

Vol 51 (1) - April - June 2026

This issue of The BAIF Journal highlights an emerging paradigm that places rural communities at the centre of India's energy transformation.

Rural India possesses immense untapped potential in the form of solar energy, biomass, livestock resources, crop residues, degraded lands and human capital. By harnessing these resources through innovative approaches such as Energy Farming, Agrivoltaics, Bioenergy, Green Hydrogen and Climate-Smart Village models, villages can evolve from being consumers of energy to producers of clean energy and drivers of the green economy.
