GLOBAL YOUTH PRIORITY 3

Ensure Meaningful Youth Participation in Soil Governance

Young people remain largely excluded from soil-related decision-making, despite their expertise, lived experience, and contributions. Fragmented coordination, weak enforcement of soil-related policies and laws, unclear institutional responsibilities, and limited recognition of youth perspectives undermine effective youth-led action.

Youth need meaningful, supported roles in key governance spaces and accountability systems, not just tokenism, but rather real decision-making influence that ensures soil-related policies reflect local realities and future needs.
