COP30: Join the Climate Action Agenda Journey to Belem

The COP30 Incoming Presidency, Climate High-Level Champions and UNFCCC are delighted to invite you to the upcoming webinar ‘COP30: Join the Climate Action Agenda Journey to Belem’ on Friday 29 August at 8:00 AM Brasilia Time (03:00 PM AZT) (01:00 PM GMT+1).

This year, the COP30 Climate Action Agenda is focusing on translating climate agreements into real-world outcomes that put people at the center. 

Opened by the COP30 designate President, Ambassador André Correia do Lago, the webinar will discuss this refined approach for the Climate Action Agenda with Ana Toni, COP30 CEO, Dan Ioschpe, COP30 Climate High-Level Champion, Nigar Arpadarai, COP29 Climate High-Level Champion (to be confirmed) and Simon Stiell, UNFCCC Executive Secretary (to be confirmed). We invite businesses, national and subnational governments representatives, investors, academia and civil society to an informative webinar to provide a deep dive into the process, key objectives, outputs and milestones as well as how participants committed to driving forward climate action can get involved.

The webinar will focus on:

·  How the COP30 Climate Action Agenda proposes a new approach connecting climate ambition with accelerating the implementation of solutions

·  How the Climate Action Agenda supports the implementation of negotiated outcomes 

·  Details on the six thematic axes, 30 key objectives and the “Granary of Solutions” 

·  How existing initiatives are being activated to communicate on results achieved and develop Plans to Accelerate Solutions 

·  How you can engage and contribute to the COP30 Climate Action Agenda

The webinar will also include time for questions and answers, will have interpretation to Portuguese and Spanish and will be recorded for those who are not able to join the live session.
