Policy and enabling environments for soil health Working Group

Objectives

  • Identify strategic policy opportunities and entry points for soil health 

  • Take the Soil Health Resolution forward - ensure that soil health is a core thematic priority within the climate agenda, NDCs and LDN goals 

  • Carve a clear roadmap for action on soil health both within global and national level policy frameworks

Deliverables

  • Case studies: Share examples to demonstrate local impact and benefits of integrating soil health into national policy

  • Events: Identification, submission, and organization of side events throughout the year, in the lead up to COP28 and beyond

  • Policy briefs: Develop recommendations to include soil organic carbon in Member States’ NDCs

  • Webinars: Provide expertise on adaptation and policy routes - identify processes to integrate soil health in the climate agenda
