SHE WHO TENDS THE EARTH - Women, Soil, Food and the Stories That Grow Our Future

The Allure of Soil x Coalition of Action for Soil Health (CA4SH)

Across generations and communities, women have played significant roles in cultivating food, saving seeds, managing household and community resources, transmitting ecological knowledge, restoring land, and building livelihoods. Their experiences offer valuable insights not only into agricultural practice, but also into how we care for, learn from, and sustain the earth.

Bringing together women whose work connects them to soil in diverse ways: as practitioners, researchers, seed keepers, entrepreneurs, community leaders, and young land stewards. The webinar creates space for lived experiences, personal stories, and the exchange of knowledge. It invites an honest reflection on the challenges women navigate, the knowledge they carry, and the possibilities they are cultivating for future generations.

At its heart, the conversation asks:

What can we learn about the future of our relationship with the earth by listening to the women who spend their lives tending it?
