Bridging the Gaps – Advancing Coherent Policies for Climate Adaptation and Mitigation for Agriculture and Food Systems

Save the Date

As momentum builds toward COP30 in Belém, this convening will bring together influential voices — including government leaders, COP negotiators, indigenous representatives, farmers, financiers, scientists, and private sector leaders — to advance agriculture and food systems transformation in line with climate and biodiversity goals.

This high-level convening will position food and agriculture as critical levers for climate adaptation and mitigation, highlighting strategic investment pathways to strengthen resilience, secure long-term food and economic stability, and advance nature-positive agriculture and food systems. Through cross-sector dialogues, it will identify ways to improve policy coherence and unlock synergies across climate, biodiversity, and food agendas.

Outcomes of the interactive convening will directly inform and support the COP30 negotiations and presidency agenda, equipping participants with the knowledge and strategies needed to engage effectively and advance ambitious climate solutions.

The convening will:

  • Elevate food and agriculture as essential levers for climate adaptation and mitigation

  • Explore financing and investment pathways for climate-resilient, nature-positive food systems

  • Strengthen policy coherence across climate, biodiversity, and food systems

  • Shape clear, actionable messages ahead of COP30
