A Living Network: Building Regional Hubs for Soil Health Action

Co-organisers: Coalition of Action 4 Soil Health (CA4SH), EIT Food, CIFOR-ICRAF

Soil health is central to biodiversity conversation, climate resilience, land restoration, and sustainable food systems. Yet over one-third of the world’s land is degraded, impacting more than 3.2 billion people. To accelerate solutions and scale equitable soil health action, the Coalition of Action 4 Soil Health (CA4SH) is proudly launching its Regional Hubs - dynamic, decentralized structures designed to catalyze locally led implementation of soil health strategies and to promote cross-regional exchange.

These hubs will serve as engines of regional action, fostering multi-stakeholder collaboration, advancing inclusive knowledge exchange, and driving coordinated action tailored to local contexts. They aim to strengthen policy coherence, align regional monitoring systems, unlock inclusive investments, and build local capacity, with a strong focus on empowering youth, women, and smallholder farmers whilst accelerating innovation.

EIT Food will host the Europe Hub, playing a pivotal role in advancing innovation and stakeholder engagement across the region. This press conference at the Bonn Climate Change Conference (SB62) will mark the official launch of the hubs and invite stakeholders to join a living network committed to scaling soil health for people, nature, climate, food security and nutrition.
